these は「These are hamsters.」のような「これらは～です。」の文でおなじみの単語ですが、名詞の前につけて「これらの～」と修飾する使い方もあります。
「 These are big bags.(これらは大きいカバンだ。)→These bags are big.(これらのカバンは大きい。) 」のような書き換え問題が、テストでよく出されますね。「These are big bags.」のほうの these は「これら」という意味で「指示代名詞」とよばれるものですが、「These bags are big.」のほうの these は「これらの」という意味の「形容詞」です。
